Master of Science in Finance

Welcome to the UIC Business MSF program! The Liautaud Master of Science in Finance program is designed to position you to excel at finance by having key insights into an industry that is rapidly changing with new technologies. Finance is indeed the true language of business, and this program leaves you prepared for a secure career in several areas of the field.

Degree Requirements

The MSF degree consists of a combination of required courses and electives. Some students are required to complete breadth and background courses, depending on their academic background. Please consult your admissions letter and/or speak with an Academic Adviser to confirm which course plan you are required to follow as an MSF student.

To receive a UIC BusinessMSF degree you must:

  • Complete a minimum of 32 graduate credit hours.
  • To remain in good academic standing, MSF students must maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least a 3.0/4.0.
