Continuing UIC Students
To be given approval to register for ACTG 315 you must satisfy one of the three following listed below:
- Have a “B” average grade in Accounting 210 and 211 from UIC.
- Or passed the Accounting Placement Examination (APE) in the necessary sections that a grade of C or higher was received in 210 &/or 211.
- Or have been granted an “APE Exemption”.
Note: Students who have taken either ACTG 210 or ACTG 211, but not both, at their previous institution and received a “B” or better may take the APE for the corresponding course (i.e. received a “B” in ACTG 210, so you take the finance portion of APE). The APE may only be taken one time during your career here at UIC.
Please Note
- Students are not allowed to take ACTG 315, 326 and 474 in the same semester. You will only be allowed to take two out of three courses in a semester.
- You will be asked to drop ACTG 326 if you are registered for Actg 315, 326 and 474.
- The department strongly advises that Actg 315 and 326 are NOT taken together in the same semester as the class workloads are too heavy.
