BS in Real Estate

The BS in Real Estate Studies program emphasizes the development of the skills required to conduct financial analysis of real estate investments, along with a thorough understanding of real estate institutions and training in market analysis and development. Additionally, students recieve the background required by employers in the real estate industry and the rigorous academic training needed for graduate study in real estate or finance.

RES 420 Real Estate Market Analysis

Analysis of real property markets, including land, buildings, and improvements. Prerequisite(s): ECON 120 and ECON 121; and FIN 300.

RES 425 Real Estate Valuation

Introduction to the valuation of real estate, with focus on the underlying determinants of location value. Prerequisite(s): ECON 120 and ECON 121; and FIN 300.

RES 450 Real Estate Data Analysis

Analysis of real estate data using statistical software programs, with an emphasis on housing data. Extensive computer use required. Prerequisite(s): ECON 120 and ECON 121; and FIN 300.
